P.O.L. x 1/4" Copper Inverted Flare Pigtail

  • Our copper pigtails consist of a POL end fitting silver soldered to 1/4-inch diameter copper tube. The other end fitting is a 1/4-inch inverted flare.Our copper pigtails are connected between an LPG bottle and a changeover valve, or directly into the inlet of a LPG gas pressure regulator. They come in lengths of 20-inch and 36-inch length.

  • Listed Hint: Do not use Teflon tape or pipe dope on either end of this pigtail. They seal against leaks by compression seating only. It is recommended to use a light oil sparingly on the threads to lubricate while tightening. Caution: the 1/4-inch inverted flare fitting has a very fine thread. Over-tightening can strip the threads. No warranty given on stripped thread fittings. To prevent stripping the thread, loosely tighten the inverted flare fitting until snug, when you feel the flare touch against the inverted flare seat in the regulator, then turn no more than 1/4 turn to compress the flare. Check for leaks with soap bubble solution or dish liquid and water mix.
